Few games are as easy to learn and play as Love Letter, and now the popular Z-Man Games franchise is crashing with the Star Wars universe. Z-Man recently revealed Star Wars: ABBA's Palace — A game of love cards, which will make players take control of iconic characters like Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and, of course, ABBA The Hut while trying to make fun Your opponents and reach the top. Lovely proven and true playability of Love Letter is completely explained, but ABBA's Palace flashes things with new mechanics a bit.
Each character has his own unique ability and is divided into rebellious characters and palace, with guards and C-3P0 cards acting as the traditional assumption of the numerical skill of another previous game player. The same goes for Salacious Crumb and R2-D2, which allow you to look at another player's hand. Things get interesting with Chewbacca, who chooses a player and if he has a palace letter in hand to 4 or less, he is out.
The rancor is one of the largest changes, since the letter allows you to eliminate the player with the lower letter other than 0, and if several players are tied on the lowest, they are all eliminated. Luke Skywalker will remove another player if he has a palace letter, while ABBA's ability does the opposite, eliminating someone if he has a rebellious letter in his hand.
The other great change is the agendas, which dictate how each round is really earned. You choose an agenda card at the beginning of the game, and you can change things a little. Exalted One, for example, is a more traditional experience, since the player with the highest number of cards in his hand wins the round. Meanwhile, My Kind of SCUM has two players earning the round, since victory is for those who have the highest cards of Rebel and Palace.
Meanwhile, ABBA's Court asks you to add the numbers on the palace cards in your play area and the person with the highest sum wins. Rescue Mission does the same, only for rebel letters.
You can really check out of the rules here, and you can ask for the game for $14.99 right here.
